Illona Clark is a Norwich based, writer and illustrator.

By day, Illona works at and helps manage one of the UK's busiest libraries, the Norfolk and Norwich Millennium Library. She spends her time surrounded by picture books, children and the adults who read to them. She makes large scale paper murals on the walls and honestly doesn't spend that much time reading all the books.

The rest of the time Illona spends with her head firmly in the clouds, writing and illustrating stories for children. She is currently looking for a publisher for her latest two picture books, 'Mervin's Marvellous Machine' and 'Bobbot', books created with an odd mix of ink drawing, photography, paint, scanned images and imagination.

Trained in Graphic Design and Illustration at Norwich University of the Arts, Illona then went on to complete a masters in Illustration: Authorial Practice at University College Falmouth where she discovered just how amazing children's books could be.

She's been drawing ever since.
